American Red Cross, Barry County Service Center the American Red Cross of Greater Grand Rapids has been offering the largest free transportation service in Kent and Barry Counties. American Red Cross drivers take senior citizens, low-income and disabled individuals to medical, mental health and social service appointments, and emergency food pantry trips.  The Barry County Service Center is located at 149 W. The mission of the Barry County Economic Development Alliance is to promote and pursue activities which will create both public and private revenues, employment opportunities, and business development consistent with the preservation of the rural quality of life.

The Hastings Area School System serves the majority of the residents in the township, while the rest of our residents, those that reside in the north-western portion of the township, are serviced by Thornapple-Kellogg School District.
